Artist to Artist: MSAB December 08
New MSAB Roster Artists Workshop
composition for one drum
Big Idea: We will investigate what it means to be a roster artist for the Minnesota State Arts Board.

 Inquiry Question:
How do roster artists work effectively in Minnesota K-12 classrooms?

Learning Goals:

Artists gain tools and language to help them articulate what they do and what they want students to learn.
Artists have an understanding of the MSAB Residency Model.
Artists walk away with a concrete idea or strategy to market themselves as teaching artists.
Artists acquire additional resources and tools to help them in their work as teaching artists.

Evidence of Learning:
Artists will have language describing what they do and how they work with studentseither something they share aloud or write down.
Artists' written language (including their five-day lesson plan) reflects the Residency Model language and structure.

Artists share at least one marketing strategy they intend to use in the coming year.

Artists leave the workshop with the MSAB Roster Artist Handbook.
