Diane Aldis coordinates statewide professional development programs in dance, interdisciplinary work, and distance learning initiatives at the Perpich Center for Arts Education. Her work in arts education has been strongly shaped by her dual perspectives as a performing artist, and as an educator in K-12 and higher education settings. Ms. Aldis holds K-12 Dance & Theater Licensure, and was appointed as an External Examiner for the International Baccalaureate Dance Program in 2003.

Becca Barniskis lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota where she works as a poet, teaching artist and free-lance writer and consultant in arts education. She edits the Resource Exchange section of the Teaching Artist Journal and is a founding member of Artist to Artist.

Barbara Cox is Arts Education Partnership Coordinator at the Perpich Center for Arts Education. Since 1998, she has developed collaborative partnerships and professional development models with educators, administrators, artists, arts organizations, and students. She helped launch Artful Online, a unique collection of arts education resources that support teaching, learning, and facilitating in K-20 classrooms. Her background in arts integration and multicultural education frameworks will be a focus of continued work with blended online professional development.

In addition to coaching Arts and Schools as Partners teams for the Perpich Center for Arts Education, Bettine Hermanson helps coordinate and develop Artful Online, an online resource for artists and teachers.

Renee Jesness, Ed.D., is Coordinator of Online Learning for Minneapolis Public Schools and serves as instructional designer and coordinator in the development of online courses for high school students in Minneapolis. She also works with many teacher groups to encourage using the Internet and technology for more effective teacher professional development. Ms. Jesness has been a partner in online professional development projects with the Perpich Center for the Arts for the past two “plus” years.
