ACE~Dance is a revolving two-year professional development program that helps teachers integrate dance in their classroom curriculum. During the  two-year program, school teams from across Minnesota attend workshops at the Perpich Center and receive on-site coaching from dance specialists and teaching artists. School teams from across Minnesota apply for and receive grants to support their school’s participation in the ACE program.

As part of the Artful Online project, ACE~Dance also provides ongoing professional development in dance education for all educators:

Lessons show how tools and assessments are blended to create lessons for classroom use and professional development workshops.

ACE~Dance Tools provide more detail about specific activities, strategies, and assessments including downloadable worksheets for classroom use and video examples of the tool in action.

Online Resources: The Elements of Dance are the foundational concepts and vocabulary that help students understand dance as an artistic practice. Teachers and teaching artists may use this multimedia resource in their face-to-face work with students - or invite students to explore it on their own.
